Catherine's got her hat on..
...hip hip hip hooray! It was my birthday yesterday and I'm in love with my new hat. It was a quiet day as I am quite sore and tired this week after a minor operation. So I'm resting and enjoying the comfort of tracksuits, sofas and crap television. I enjoyed a visit from my sister and niece Eva, who visited the hospital yesterday after breaking her collarbone. I asked Eva if it was sore, she said, 'No, I saw the doctor.' Her pain threshold must be good. She helped me blow out the candles on my birthday cake (though she often breathes in instead of out, with severe concentration on her face!) and loved the wind-up penguin I found in my bedroom. I was refused a birthday kiss though, I guess my moustache must be getting pricklier as I get older. I'm going to lounge around in my new hat. It's my favourite birthday present and I wore it while enjoying breakfast in bed yesterday. I also received lots of flowers, so with my hat and abundance of flowers, I'm off to feel glamorous in my tracksuit.
